Proteum Hydrogen Applied sciences Corp., a subsidiary of Proteum Power LLC, and the College of Regina have launched into a joint undertaking aimed toward advancing Proteum’s patented and proprietary steam non-methane reforming (SnMR) know-how.

The undertaking, carried out by means of the College’s Clear Power Applied sciences Analysis Institute, focuses on optimizing efficiency of Proteum’s industrial system for manufacturing of hydrogen from renewable ethanol feedstock. The 2-year undertaking was awarded an identical grant from Mitacs, a nonprofit Canadian analysis group cultivating partnerships between academia, personal trade and authorities.

“We’re happy and excited to work with such a prestigious analysis college to boost hydrogen yields for our tasks using ethanol feedstock. Leveraging Proteum’s SnMR know-how holds nice promise for ethanol producers because the automotive trade strikes from gasoline towards zero emissions,” stated Proteum’s CEO Laurence B. Tree, II.

“With one of many few hydrogen analysis pilot vegetation in Canada, the College of Regina’s Clear Power Applied sciences Analysis Institute is uniquely positioned to collaborate with Proteum to optimize their SnMR course of for enhanced hydrogen yields and high quality from renewable ethanol,” stated CETRI’s Director Hussameldin Ibrahim. “We stay up for additional creating this promising know-how.”
